ELLA MAE SIMPKINS JOHNSON, 101, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at home.  She was born June 5, 1915 at East Lynn, W.Va., a daughter of the late William Henry and Annie Mary Sanders Simpkins.  Ella was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jeff Johnson, as well as her beloved daughter Anna B. Hutchinson, three brothers, four sisters, and special twin Ona.  A lifetime member of the Wolf Pen Church of Christ, Ella was a homemaker and so much more to so many.

            Survivors include her daughter, Glenna Janette Maynard and her husband Carl of Wayne; grandchildren Carletta (Bob) Fannin, Minetta (Chris) Moore, Jeffrey Carl Maynard, Amy Phillips, and Christy Hutchinson;  great grandchildren, Amanda (Ronald) Greer, Jami (Cory) Sansom, Kelli Moore, Payton Boyes, Paige Phillips, Michael Phillips, Madison Hutchinson, and Logan Bradshaw; great-great grandchildren, Trey & Alee Greer, and Oliver Finn Sansom; her second family, special twin Ona’s children; and several other nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

            The family would like to thank special caregivers Darlene Ross, Alice Webb, and Alician Pitts, who became family to us; Hospice of Wayne and Huntington; and dear friends Dewey Johnson, and Chad and Deborah Tiller.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brothers Emual Adkins and Daniel Adkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral.  Donations are suggested to Wolf Pen Church of Christ 7909 Beech Fork Road East Lynn, WV 25512.
