LULA DAVIS HALE, 83, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at her residence.  She was born December 9, 1932 to the late Sylvester Davis and Lottie Griffin Davis.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Raymond Hale.  To this union, five children were born: Judy Bloss and husband Tom of Lavalette, W.Va., Janet Chiera and husband Bob, JoAnn Booth and husband Larry, and Raymond Hale Jr. and wife Connie, who was like another daughter, all of Wayne, and Sue Leslie and husband Don of Prichard, W.Va.  Also preceding Lula in death was one sister, five brothers three of which were infants, and three brothers-in-law. 

            She is survived by two sisters, Jean Kendrick and Edna Canaday. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Michelle Bloss (Wyn) Baker, Gregg (Jennifer) Bloss, Larry (Celine) Adams, Tony (Tina) Adams, Joey (Jenn) Booth, Jason (Amy Lynn) Booth, Amy Booth (Joe) Chatterton, Ashley Hale (Clint) Draper, Garrett (Jackie) Hale, Donna Leslie (Joshua) Wysong, and Jeremy (Brandi) Leslie; and 28 great grandchildren with one on the way. 

            Lula attended the Garrett’s Creek Church of Christ.  She loved her church family and they loved her.  She also had two very special friends, Rose Wilson and Kim Adkins.  Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Minister Wyn Baker officiating.  Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.  Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
