PERLE LYNTON BLANKENSHIP, 93, of East Lynn, W.Va., passed away peacefully Monday, September 12, 2016 at Genesis Putnam Health Center.  He was born September 27, 1922 in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of the late Rafael “Rafe” and Mary Blankenship. His wife of 58 years, Letha Ross Blankenship also preceded him in death, along with all of his brothers and sisters, Marie Osburn, Mary Ellen “Dixie” Sanders, Lucian Blankenship, Mary Perry, Daisy Gillette, Pinkey Archer, and twins Elbert and Ottie Blankenship.

Survivors include four children, Linda Pearl Napier and her husband Edgar Jr., of East Lynn, Brenda Gay Blankenship, Barney Edgar Blankenship and his wife Naomi, and Raymond Lynton Blankenship and his wife Patricia, all of Wayne; six grandchildren, Angela (Lowell) Sutherland of Dunlow, W.Va., Clinton (Alesa) Napier of Wayne, Perry Hunt of Lakewood, Oh., Valarie (William) Camberlin, also of Lakewood, Heather (Robert Jr.) Kennedy of Wayne, and Heath Blankenship of Wayne; and nine great-grandchildren Courtland Caitlyn, Zoe, Dillon, Lynette, Josiah, Elijah, Athaiha, Amariah, and Isaiah.

            Family, friends, and neighbors are all invited and welcome to attend the graveside services at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Mose Asbury Cemetery with Brother Mark Jarrell officiating.  Procession to the cemetery will leave Johnson Tiller Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m.
