VERCIE FRANCES HAYNER, 88, of St. Albans, W.Va., went to be with her Lord on Friday, Nov. 03, 2017 at the Hubbard Hospice House West. She was born May 4, 1929 at Cove Gap, W.Va., a daughter of the late Marion and Eva Duty. Her husband Charles A. Brannen, also preceded her in death, along with her second husband, Aubrey Hayner; three bothers, Jack Duty, Tommy Duty, and Johnny Duty; and three sisters, Jane West, Susie Miros, and Jewel Maynard.
She leaves behind her son, Charles (Lee Ann) Brannen of St. Albans, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Brannen of Beckley, W.Va.; and two step-grandchildren Sara Davis of Hurricane, W.Va. and Wade Cox II of Charleston, W.Va.; her sister, Janice Smith of Lavalette, W.Va.; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention.
Celebration of Vercie’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Kilbert officiating. Burial will follow at Bowman Hill Cemetery.
