William Thomas Hale

December 23, 1941 ~ May 17, 2017 (age 75) 75 Years Old

WILLIAM THOMAS HALE, 75, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at home.  Born December 23, 1941 at Wayne, William served our country honorably in the U.S. Army and retired from Turman Construction.  Preceding him in death were his parents, Gladys Robertson Ball and George William (Elizabeth) Hale; four brothers, Andy Ray Hale, Charles Bernard Hale, Wallace Ball, and Ronnie Ball; two sisters, Brenda Lou Rickman, and Mary Ann Smith; and one son, Charles Edward Bing, Jr. 

            He leaves behind his wife Sandra Jean Hale; eight children, Tamara (Glen) Stephens, Sonya (James) Wheeler, Charles Kitts II, Lora (Marc) Hale, Larry Propps, Rhonda (John) Rickman, William Hale, and Jennifer (Chris) Adkins; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

            Also surviving are two brothers, George Raymond Hale and Randall Ball; two sisters, Betty Ruth Smith and Orpha Elizabeth Hanson; and nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention.

            The family would like to thank Dr. Jamil and Dr. Mitchell at Cabell Huntington Hospital as well as Hospice of Huntington for their care.

            Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Steve Nida officiating.  Burial will follow in the Vaughan Mills Cemetery with military honors performed by the American Legion Post 93.  Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
