ALDERSON “FATS” ADKINS, 70, of East Lynn, W.Va., passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  He was born December 17, 1947 at East Lynn, a son of the late Dennis and Thurlie Adkins.  His sister Lillian Keesee also preceded him in death along with two brothers, Delbert Adkins and Dallas Tucker Adkins.  He leaves behind his loyal, true, and trusted friend, Chum Bob; one son, John Adkins of East Lynn; one daughter, Ashley Adkins of Louisa, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Johnathan Adkins, Kaitlyn Adkins, Justic Smith, Nicholas Smith, Rylee Adkins, Brody Smith, and Jaci Smith; and one great grandson, Jordan.

            Also surviving are four brothers, Wetzel “Ham” Adkins, Asbury (Loella) Adkins, all of East Lynn, Donald “Brother” Adkins of Proctorville, Oh., and Dennis Lee Adkins of Lavalette, W.Va.; two sisters, Goldie Dillon of Glenrock, Penn., and Ruth “Tiny” Bartram of Lavalette; special nephew Gary (Sherry) Prichard of East Lynn; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.             

            Private burial will be held at the Adkins Cemetery with Elder Smoky Hager and Pastor Eddie McComas officiating and Homer Allen Adkins, Johnathan Adkins, Donnie Adkins, Mike Bartram, Mikey Batram, and Delaine Adkins serving as pallbearers.   Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is honored to serve the Adkins family.
