CHRISTOPHER F. “FRANK” McCANN, 85, of Lavalette, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born November 3, 1932 at Fort Gay, W.Va., a son of the late Homer and Ada McCann. His loving wife of 57 years, Loretta McCann, also preceded him in death, along with one son, Mike McCann, one brother Wray McCann, one sister, Wilma Payne, one granddaughter, Stephanie McCann, and two great granddaughters, Makayla Toppings and Haily Bender. Frank was a retired industrial maintenance / welder from Shell Oil Chemical Division, and attended Truth Independent Baptist church in Lavalette.
He leaves behind one son, Christopher F. (Tonya) McCann II of Rush, Ky.; two daughters, Marla McCann of Lavalette, and Kristi (Randy) Hornsby of Travelers Rest, S.C.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of friends and family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Rev. Lou Ashworth officiating. Burial will follow in Mays Chapel Cemetery with Chris McCann, Randy Hornsby, Shawn Johnson, Brennan Nelson, Chase Garrett and John McCann serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral.
