FRANKLIN LEE PAULEY, 87, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born February 2, 1932 in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of the late Otto and Lillie Pauley. Also preceding him in death was an infant son, Tony Lee Pauley; two brothers, Harold “Bub” Pauley and Howard Pauley; and three sisters, Glenna “Sis” Cline, Bertha “Jie” Combs, and Jennie “Honey” Robinson. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War and retired from the Laborer’s Union.
He leaves behind his children, Harold (Patty) Pauley of Lavalette, W.Va., Dale (Mary Ann) Pauley of Wayne, and Sandy (James) Stephens, also of Wayne; six grandchildren, Jeremiah Stephens, Elysaa Carico, Rusty Pauley, Melissa Walker, Jennifer Pauley, and Tony Pauley; 10 great grandchildren, Ashley Toppins, Allison Adkins, Gavin Carico, Rylee Carico, Tyler Hensley, Kaiden Hensley, Rusty “Hoss” Pauley, Eden Pauley, Savannah Pauley, and Lilly Pauley; three great great-grandchildren, Paislee Toppins, Greyson Mills, and Ryder Adkins; and special friends James and Angie Crockett of Wayne.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Rudy Crockett officiating. Burial will follow in the Otto Pauley Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral on Sunday.
