Gene Everett Tyler

GENE EVERETT TYLER, 79, of Lavalette, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born March 23, 1939 at Julian, West Virginia, a son of the late Zella Marie and Harrison M. Tyler.  His wife Prisella Tyler also preceded him in death along with one step-son, Dwayne Hannah.  Gene served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Steel of West Virginia.  He was also a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Lavalette.
                Survivors include two grandchildren, Celeste Hannah and Christian Hannah; one sister, Shirley Pauley and her husband Delmont, of Huntington, W.Va.; and special friends Larry Wood and his wife Karen of Barboursville, W.Va., and Suzie Nicholson of Huntington.
                Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.  Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is honored to serve the Tyler family.
