HANABLE “HANK” ADKINS, 74, of East Lynn, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Friday, April 26, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A son of the late Tolbert and Mary Mae Adkins, he was also preceded in death by an infant son Darin, brother Ronnie Adkins, brother-in-law Charles May, and a nephew Allen May. Hank was a member of the Wolf Pen Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Carolyn Adkins; two sons, Scott (Kim) Adkins of Huntington, W.Va., and Kevin (Jenny) Adkins of East Lynn; six grandchildren, Tyler, Aaron, Natalie, Sarah, Brianna, and Ruthie; and two great grandchildren, Brenden and Adelynn.
Also surviving are two sisters, Izetta May and Sue (Sam) Gilkerson; sister-in-law Myrtle Adkins; and a host of nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank Hospice, as well as all those who supported the family in their time of need.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2019 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brothers Emual Adkins and Delmer Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Scott Adkins Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
