JOSEPH WORTH TONEY, 33, of Ft. Gay, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa, Kentucky. Born February 27, 1985 in Logan County, West Virginia, Joseph was a welder employed with Okuno International, Prichard. He enjoyed helping others and assisting in the Cabwaylingo Forest Foundation.
His mother, Lovetta Browning preceded him in death, along with one brother, Daniel Stewart, and infant nephew, Joshua Caleb Toney.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Vanessa Toney; three children, Breanna Kay, Seth, and Cody Thomason, of Blackwell, OK; and his foster parents who raised him to be the man he was, Paul and Sylbia Starbird, of Dunlow, W.Va.
Also surviving are eight brothers and sisters: twin brother Joshua (Vanessa) Toney of Dunlow, Lawrence (Karen) Toney of Wilsondale, WV, David (Trish) Stewart of Barboursville, WV, Elizabeth Toney of Oceana, WV, Francis Allen (Jessica) Jackson of Lexington, KY, Eric Starbird of Dunlow, Nathan Starbird of North Carolina, and Amanda Starbird (Gary Stevenson); and nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to mention.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. Donations to assist the family can be made by selecting the "Appeal For Donations" tab on this page.
