PHILIP PERRY, 71, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2018. He was born February 14, 1947, at Genoa, West Virginia, the only child of the late Harry and Jewell Mae Perry. His wife, Linda Gail Perry also preceded him in death. Philip was formerly the Wayne Chief of Police. He was also retired from INCO Alloys, a greeter at the Wayne Wal-Mart, and a member of the Wayne Church of Christ.
He leaves behind two sons Gregory Perry and his wife Connie of Huntington, W.Va. and Robert Perry of Kenova, W.Va.; grandchildren, Brooke Perry, Logan Perry, Lauryn Perry, Kaylin Perry, Josh Perry; and “hand-picked” grandsons Brad Koeppen and Adam Evicks.
Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Dorothy Madden of Columbus, Oh., and Carol Sue Osburn of Lexington, Ky.; special cousins, Okey Perry, Ed Perry, Mary Sword, Jack Woodrum; and friends too numerous to mention.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Minister Ronnie Ross officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
