RAYBURN JACK PERRY, 79, of Lavalette, W.Va. went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 27, 2019. He was born February 12, 1940 in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of the late Irvin Perry and Zelphia Smith. Also preceding him in death was one brother Paul Smith and one sister, Iladean Smith. Rayburn was retired from Lavalette Nursery and a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Perry; his daughters Sharon (Sam) Fry of Wayne, Sarah (Kevin) Franklin of Edmond, Ok., Sandy Craig of Chillicothe, Oh., and Elizabeth (Jason) Gilkerson of Huntington, W.Va.; grandchildren, Amanda (Zac) Powell, Jessica (Matthew) Bosworth, Rachel (Kyle) Slone, Christina (Pierce) Akers, Angela Craig, Scotty Fry, Taylae Fry, Renee Gilmore, Tammy Maynard, Michael Fry and Aden Fry; great grandchildren, Jo, Eli, Jacob, Bailey, Sean, Ciera, Makayla, Matthew, Greyson, Hayden, Charlotte, and Patrick.
Also surviving is one brother, Irvin (Barbara) Perry of Michigan; two sisters, Imogene Griner of Indiana, and Wanda Adams of Huntington; and several dear nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother David Adkins and Pastor Jay Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
