RICHARD CURTIS MAYNARD, 47, of Dunlow, W.Va. passed away at his residence on Thursday, October 4, 2018. He was born on November 28, 1970 in Huntington, W.Va., and worked as a carpenter and roofer. His father, Millard "Buck" Maynard preceded him in death, along with grandparents Raymond and Josephine Maynard and John and Eunice Jordan.
He leaves behind his mother, Mary Lou Maynard; his companion and soul mate, Anne Smith, both of Dunlow; his children, Maryanne Maynard, of Dunlow, Joshua Jervis of Canada, Ky., Rhonda Jervis, Brittany Jervis, both of Williamson, W.Va., Johnathan Marcum, currently serving in the military in South Korea, and Kimberly Blankenship of Ft. Gay, W.Va.; one sister, Peggy (John) Fletcher of Genoa, W.Va.; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Ferguson Branch House of Prayer with Brother George Thornhill officiating. Burial will follow at the Buck Maynard Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at the church with church service at 7 p.m. and will continue until service time on Tuesday. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
