ARDEN "Chigger" McCOMAS, 79, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 7, 2016. He was born July 31, 1936 in East Lynn, W.Va., a son of the late Golden and Wanda McComas. His wife Lucille McComas also preceded him in death along with three brothers, Argie, Arben, and Arzel McComas; one sister, Ardith Epling; and one grandson, Arden Lee McComas II. Chigger was a retired steelworker and a member and former minister of the Camp Creek Church of Christ.
He leaves behind two daughters, Leatha (Gary) Hundley of Lavalette, W.Va., and Beverly Estep of Huntington; one son, Arden Lee (Tina) McComas of Centerville, Md.; six grandchildren, Jessica Hundley, Jackie Hundley, James Hundley, Christina VonBaltzer, Marie Pelfrey, and Clinton Smithers; and nine great grandchildren.
Also surviving is three sisters, Linda McComas, Mary Ann McComas, and Sandra Sammons, all of East Lynn, W.Va.; one brother, Arnton (Wanda) McComas of Branchland; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the Camp Creek Church of Christ with Brothers Alex Spaulding and Jesse Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Vaughan Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is honored to serve the McComas family.
