AUGUSTA JO "GUSSIE" DAVIS, 55, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.  She was born October 21, 1965 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Alfred and Barbara Adkins.  Her husband James E. Davis also preceded her in death along with one daughter, Barbara Danielle Davis. Gussie was a member of the Huntington Gospel Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Krystal (Justin) Mounts of Wayne; three granddaughters, Emalee Mounts, Anna Mounts, and Olivia Mounts; one sister, Nancy Bryan and the late Roger Bryan, also of Wayne; one brother Darrell (Delores) Adkins of Huntington; four half-brothers, Charlie Ramey, Dave Ramey, James Ramey II, all of Wayne, and John Ramey of Delbarton, W.Va.; special nephew Jesse Bradshaw; as well as several additional nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Darrell Adkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be held from 6 -9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
