AVERY STEELE, 59, of Wayne, W.Va., died Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at home.  He was born August 25, 1960 at Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Lona and Fred Steele, Sr.  Also preceding him in death were seven brothers and sisters, Romaine Sussy Workman, Lona Mae Alexander, Glenna Roma Steele, Fred Steele Jr., Beverly Ann Smith, Bobby Gene Steele, and James Donald Steele; and one daughter Virginia Steele.

He leaves behind one daughter, Melissa Gail Watts of Genoa, W.Va.; two sisters, Bernice (Joe) Kalista of Mooresville, N.C., and Burneice Simmons of Statesville N.C.; as well as nieces, nephews, and family too numerous to mention.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
