BARBARA GENE PERRY , 86, of Lavalette, W.Va., met her heavenly father on March 30, 2024. She was born May 26, 1937, in Stiltner, W.Va. to the late Lucian and Bessie Skeens.  Also preceding her in death were seven siblings, Newman Skeens, Orville Skeens, Burgess Skeens, William Skeens, Donald Skeens, Beatrice Stiltner, and Betty Sue Skeens.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 63 years, and the love of her life, Francis Marion Perry; one son, Larry Perry (Michele) of Chuluota, Fla.; two daughters, Teresa Rickman (Michael) and Dianna Mills (Mark), both of Lavalette; four grandchildren, Trevor Perry, Dylan Perry, Andrea McCallister and Allison Wood; 7 great grandchildren, Caitlyn Porter, Josilyn May, Aubree Anderson, Kaia Perry, Joshua Rogers, Jason Wood, and Jacob Wood.

Barbara was a homemaker and a great support to her husband and children. She was devoted and always prayed for her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Laurel Freewill Baptist Church for 52 years. Barbara was loved by many and the void in their lives will be felt for many years. She will be forever cherished by a multitude of friends and family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Roberts officiating.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery Annex.  Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
