CHESTER LEE ADKINS, 67, of Wayne, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2016.  He was born August 17, 1948, a son of the late Hobart and Leota Adkins.  Chester worked in drywall.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Deborah Lynn Adkins; seven children, Leigha (Thomas) Walls of Martinsburg, W.Va., Mirisa Adkins of New York, Beth (Roger) Boley of Genoa, W.Va., Trish Rowe, Verna Vaughan, Hansford (Misty) Bowen, all of Wayne, and Sherman (Misti) Bowen of Lavalette, W.Va.; 19 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Charles (Ruby) Adkins of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Ernie (Linda) Adkins of Barberton, Ohio; two sisters, Hope (Hassel) Rife of Florida, and Bonnie (Cliff) Maynard of Wayne; two special friends since childhood, John and Brenda Perry of Wayne; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brothers Jesse Adkins and Jerry Casteel officiating.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
