Obituary

DELORIS ANN "Aunt Doie" ROBERTSON, age 77, of Rittman, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at her home in Rittman, following a period of declining health.  Deloris was born on November 27, 1943, in Genoa, West Virginia, to the late Thomas and Minnie (Lewis) Robertson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a stillborn infant daughter, Tanya Marie, sisters Gladys Ball, Gertrude Robinson, Garnette Zonar, Genevieve Bartrum, and Doris Robertson; brothers Ervin Robertson, Henry Robertson, and Doug Robertson; and her beloved dog Ehauny.

Deloris loved to read, loved being around children, and loved spending time with her family and her dogs. She was very proud of her Indian heritage, and enjoyed going to the Great Mohican Pow Wow. She also took pride in making donations to the Indian Reservation Schools and to St. Jude's. Aunt Doie was a wonderful aunt and her family loved her and will greatly miss her.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews; her special nieces and nephew, Dill, Judy, and Isabell Bartrum; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and her dog Coco.

In Ohio, friends may call from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman, Ohio.

In West Virginia, friends may call from 6:00-9:00pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home, 10030 Route 152, Wayne, West Virginia.  Services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Robertson officiating. Burial will take place at the Robertson Family Cemetery in Genoa, West Virginia.  Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to posted signs and spacing limitations.  Seating may be limited.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Auble-Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman and Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home in Wayne, WV are handling the arrangements.
