DONALD EUGENE HAYS, SR., 70, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.  He was born September 14, 1946 at Wayne, W.Va., a son of the late Wanda Dyer Pack and Ova Paul Hays, Sr.  Don was a retired truck driver with Roadway Express.

He leaves behind two sons, David (Laura) Hays and Donald (Belinda) Hays, Jr., all of Jackson, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Michael Hays, Scott Hays, Luke Hays, T.J. Walker, and Colin Walker.  Also surviving is one sister, Shirley Watts of Kiahsville, W.Va.; two brothers, Paul (Jean) Hays of Leesburg, Fla., and Gary (Sandy) Hays of Ranger, W.Va.; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home, Wayne, W.Va.  Burial will follow in the Sam Dyer Cemetery, Kiahsville, W.Va.  Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
