DORCAS ANN MAYNARD, 74, of Wayne, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord and loved ones who have gone before her on Saturday, June 6, 2026.  She was born October 16, 1951, in Dunlow, W.Va., a daughter of the late Gene Maynard and Imogene Maynard Browning.  Also preceding her in death was her stepfather, Kelly Browning; her son Gary Phillip Maynard; and one brother, Harris Maynard.

She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Garland Maynard; one son, Les (Cheryl) Maynard of Wayne; daughter-in-law Sarah Maynard of Lavalette, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Kelly Maynard (Morgan), Alyssa, Jamaylan, Zane, and Ellie; five great grandchildren; and her special feline companion Spot.  Dorcas loved helping others and was a blessing to all who knew her.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tim and all the staff of Hospice of Huntington for their support and care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
