Obituary

Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, MRS. EDITH DAMRON, 85, of Genoa, W.Va., went to with the Lord on July 19, 2016.  She was born November 21, 1930 in Wayne County, W.Va., a daughter of the late William "Bill" Albert and Laura Clark.  Her husband of 65 years, Glen, also preceded her in death, along with one son, Ricky Glen Damron; five sisters Flora Williamson, Chloea Dingess, Lillie Adkins, Emma Jean Mathews, Ethel Skaggs, and Clara Mathis; and three brothers, Rand Clark, C. C.Clark, and Henry Clark.  Edith was a homemaker and a member of the Brush Creek United Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Roger Damron and his wife Hester; two granddaughters, Shandra Jenkins, and Chastity Ballard and her husband Kurt; and five great-grandchildren, Robbie and Molly Jenkins, and Chance, Reagan, and Jaxon Ballard.

Also surviving are two sisters, Cassie Wilson, and Virgie Kashner; very special niece, Carol Damron; and a host of family and friends.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of St. Mary's Hospital and the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for their excellent care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Tony Clay officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery, Genoa.  Friends may call after 12 noon on Thursday at the funeral home.
