MRS. FRANCES BETTY MAYNARD, 86, of Kiahsville,W.Va., passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 27, 2016.  She was born April 20, 1930 in Logan County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Pete and Ada McCloud Adkins.  Her husband, Jay Maynard, Jr., also preceded her in death along with one brother, Jackie Lee Adkins; and one son-in-law, Jack Cartwright. She leaves behind one daughter, Jeanne Cartwright of Huntington, W.Va.; five sons, Jimmy Maynard of Nampa, Id., Harvey (Ginger) Maynard of Louisville, Ky., Jesse (Beverly) Maynard of Kenova, W.Va., Peter (Lisa) Maynard of Huntington, David Maynard of Ranger, W.Va.; and a special niece, Millie Brooks of Kiahsville. Frances was a homemaker who devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver.  A unique soul, Frances was very funny and never met a stranger. She enjoyed laughing and joking with her family and many friends.  Frances will be fondly remembered by her nine loving grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many other nieces and nephews.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
