Frank
Napier
Jul 21, 1927 — May 9, 2016
FRANK NAPIER, 88, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 9, 2016. He was born July 21, 1927 at Kenova, W.Va., a son of the late Johnnie and Virgie Napier. His brothers, Johnnie Napier Jr., Callaway Napier and Golden Napier also preceded him in death along with sisters, Thena Adkins and Myrtle Soileau. Frank was a retired welder and a member of Lavalette Baptist Church.
Frank was a kind, gentle and compassionate person who loved spending as much time as he could fishing and 4-wheeling. He was a bright light to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, and leaves behind many wonderful memories.
Surviving is his loving wife of nearly 67 years, Doris Lee Morrison Napier; one daughter, Rita Kay (Charles) Pridemore of Ceredo, W.Va.; one son, Larry A. (Eileen) Napier of Lavalette, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Vickie Lynn Pack; and four great-grandchildren, Amanda Michelle Pack, Alexander Antonio "Alex", Sophia Grace and Olivia Rose Meza Lopez of Rush, Ky.
Also surviving is one brother, John Harvey (Doris) Napier of Huntington; two sisters, Magdalene Fry of South Point, Oh., and Tempa (Linville) Farley of Huntington; his dear fishing buddies Bill Morrison, Frank Taylor, and many others; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastors Emory Osburn and Frank Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
