FRANKLIN D. COMBS, 76, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016.  He was born May 18, 1940 at Logan, W.Va., a son of the late Bert and Sena Combs.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Almagene Browning and Lela Mae Browning; six brothers, Dean Combs, Nick Combs, Bert Combs, Jerry Combs, Mack Combs and Doug Combs; and one granddaughter, Amy Fry.

​He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years whom he adored, Bessie Combs; one daughter, Denise Childers (Scott); two sons, Gregory Combs and Brian Jones (Veronica); eight grandchildren, Morgan Collins (Bobby), Kirsten Childers, Alison Wetzel (Cody), Matthew Jones (Elex), Stephen Jones, Taylor Jones, Tracy Clay, and Kayla Clay; four great-grandchildren, Harper Regan Jones, Larry Dale Bias, Kaitlin Collins, and Kylie Collins.

​Also surviving are three sisters, Pearl Ann Williamson, Jewell Workman, and Sarah Queen; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention. The family would like to thank Robert Pritchard Dialysis Center, and River's Bend Health Care for the special care given to the family.

​Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Adkins and Brother Bill Osbourneofficiating.  Burial will follow at Combs Cemetery.  Friends may call Sunday after 11 atthe funeral home.
