GARRY D. STEVENSON, 70, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born January 10, 1946 at Wayne County, West Virginia a son of the late Ira Leondis Stevenson and Margaret Stephens Gilkerson.  One son Johnny Scott Stevenson also preceded him in death along with one sister, and special friend Marjorie Donahue.  Garry served in the U.S. Army 61 Medical Battalion during the Vietnam War.

He leaves behind one daughter, Stephanie Stevenson (Chris Adkins) of Lavalette, W.Va.; one son, Garry (Amanda Starbird) Stevenson Jr. of Dunlow; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Also surviving are four sisters, Lona (Delmas) Perry of East Lynn, W.Va., Irene (Bill) Joye, Hilda (Fabien) Gilkerson, and Mickey (Glen) Stephenson, all of Wayne, W.Va.; two brothers, Darrell (Joyce) Stevenson, and Shirley (Ernestine) Gilkerson Jr., all of Wayne; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Private services will be held.  Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is honored to serve the Stevenson family.
