HAROLD RAY WILSON, 78, of Taylorsville, Ky., passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026. He was born October 21, 1947, in Genoa, W.Va., a son of the late Cassie and Clifford “Jack” Wilson. Also preceding him in death were three siblings, Garland Wilson, Jackie Wilson, and Betty Sue Wilson; and one brother-in-law, Mike Smith.

Harold was a former Kenova Police Officer and retired from Ford Motor Company. 

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Sue Wilson; his children Lisa Raynelle (Gary) Shelley of Kinston, N.C., Gregory Earl (Esterlita) Wilson of Silver Springs, Fla., Jackie Lee (Selena) Adkins and Jennifer LeAnn (Michael) Smith, both of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Jackie Lee Adkins, Jr., Sara Adkins, Kaelan (Andy) Williamson, Gabriel Smith, Christian Smith, and Layla Smith; and two great grandchildren, Matthew Williamson and Morgan Williamson.

Also surviving are two sisters, Janice (Jack) Cox of Genoa, and Rhonda Gail Smith of Huntington, W.Va.; sister-in-law Evelyn Sue Wilson of Ocala, Fla.; several nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday.
