HARRIET JANE BROOKS, 41, of East Lynn, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Born September 17, 1975 in Huntington, W.Va., Harriet was a loving stay-at-home mom.  Her mother Ruby Brooks preceded her in death, along with one brother, Emmitt Brooks, and maternal grandmother, Ida Brooks.

She leaves behind her children, Roger Brooks (Courtney Keeney) of East Lynn, Bobby Brooks of Huntington, W.Va., and Elizabeth Watts, also of East Lynn; grandson Christian; granddaughter Caroline on the way; and step-father Lewis Clark of East Lynn.

Also surviving are special cousins, Dora Thierry, Melissa Clark, both of Wayne, and Linda Gail Clark of East Lynn; nephews, Austin Ramey of East Lynn, Neil Bauman and Kyle Bauman, both of St. Albans, W.Va.; and niece Larain Pike of St. Albans; godson Robbie Russell of Wayne; her significant other, Jack Leonard; special friends Rita Russell and Miranda Maynard, all of East Lynn; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Burgess officiating.  Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery, Kiahsville, W.Va.  Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Donations to help with final expenses can be made at www.johnsontillerfuneralhome.com using the "Donations" tab on Harriet's obituary page.
