IVAN WANDLE LEAP, JR., 62, of Lavalette, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  He was born May 26, 1961, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Ivan and Arella Lett Leap.  Also preceding him in death were four brothers, Gregory Scott Leap, Michael Lawhon, Wetzel Lawhon, and infant Jimmy Leap; and one sister Lola Collins.  Ivan was a retired truck driver with many years of service.

Survivors include his daughter, Amanda (Michael) Hesson; three grandchildren, Katelynn (Jacob) Dunn, Erin Hesson, and Wyatt Hesson, all of Prichard, W.Va.; his life companion, Kristy Lewingdon; stepchildren Robert Lewingdon II of Huntington, W.Va. and Leigah (Flo) Trautman of Ashland, Ky.; eight stepchildren; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention.

A celebration of Ivan's life will be held at a later date.   Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
