Loving father, JAMES RODGER MORRISON, 69, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away at home on Sunday, October 9, 2016.  He was born May 2, 1947 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Truman and Luella Morrison.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Lucy Morrison; second wife, Patricia Morrison; one brother, Larry Morrison; and one sister, Erma Chatterton.  James served his country honorably during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy, and was a retired coal miner.

He leaves behind two daughters, Paula Swimm (William) of Wayne, and Pamela Vaughan-Manning (Terry) of Wisconsin; five brothers, William Morrison of Wayne, Truman Morrison (Arlene) of Milton, W.Va., David Morrison, Jack Morrison (Jackie) all of Wayne, and Lonnie Morrison (Audrey) of Huntington;  three sisters, Arlene Jackson (Ray) of Ohio, Juanita Morrison of Huntington, and Betty Gilkerson (Ira) of Wayne; four grandchildren, Maranda Swimm (Jeremy Hutchinson), Steven Swimm, James Vaughan (Caitlin), and Alanna Vaughan; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Hutchinson, and Jordan Shea Vaughan; a special friend, Sharon Tomblin of Wayne; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Booton Cemetery.  Friends may call after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
