JAMES SHELTON RAMEY, 76, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.  He was born April 10, 1945 in Stiltner, W.Va., a son of the late Garland and Lena Ramey.  Also preceding him in death was his son Dale Ramey; and one brother O'Dell (Nilene) Ramey.  James formerly worked at Wal Mart and was a member of Laurel Freewill Baptist Church.

He leaves behind his wife Emogene Ramey; one daughter, Tony Lynn Ramey of Detroit, Mich.; stepchildren, Jeanie Ann Broome of Detroit, and Jimmy Lee Broome of Tennessee; two sister, Barbara (Sam) Queen and Glenna Vance, of Wayne; several special nieces and nephews; special friends Jerry and Cindy Ross of Wayne; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Ferguson and Brother Jerry Ross officiating.  Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens.    Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
