JERRY DALE CASSIDY, 73, of Genoa , W.Va. , went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.  Born April 12, 1944 at Genoa , Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Genoa United Baptist Church .  He enjoyed gardening and farming and loved the outdoors.  His father Leonard Cassidy preceded him in death along with his son, Matthew Cassidy and his brother Linden Cassidy. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Velores Ann Cassidy; his sons, Calvin (Stephanie) Damron III, Perry (Lesa) Damron, and Kevin Travis (Beverly) Cassidy, all of Genoa; his mother, Mabel Cassidy of Genoa;  seven grandchildren, Kinsey (Brian) White of Spring Valley, Zachary Damron and his fiancé Becca Ross of Genoa, Corey (Jessica) Damron of Proctorville, Oh., Ashley (Jordan) Maynard of Genoa, Brody Lunsford of Ft. Carson, Col., Hailey Lunsford, and Katelyn Cassidy, both of Genoa;  and four great grandchildren, Dryve Damron, Sawyer Damron, Jax Damron, and McKinley Maynard. Also surviving is one brother, Gary (Joan) Cassidy of Wayne; two sisters, Kathy ( Roy ) Beckett of Dunlow, W.Va. , and Sue (James) Chaffin of Genoa; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention. Funeral procession will leave Johnson Tiller Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, for graveside services at the Watts Perry Cemetery.
