JOHN TRACY BRUNTY, 58, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  He was born August 18, 1963, in West Hamlin, W.Va., and worked as a carpenter. His father, Hobert Ray "Humbug" Brunty preceded him in death.  John accepted the Lord as his Savior and was a Christian by faith.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Markella Brunty; and two sons, Dustin Brunty of Brownsville, Penn., and Christopher Perry of Burlington, Oh.

Also surviving is his mother, Anna Lou Brunty; two sisters, Donna Brunty, and Dinah Marcum and her fiancé Charlie Frasher; two brothers, Rocky (Katherine) Brunty, and Stoney (Carolyn) Brunty, all of Wayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Michael Booth officiating.  Private burial will follow.  Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
