Another Angel in Heaven today: JOHN BILL PERRY, 83, of Genoa, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. He was born May 2, 1934 at Dunlow, W.Va., a son of the late John and Siddie Perry. His children Neta Lou Perry and Jeffrey Kim Perry also preceded him in death, along with six brothers, Frennie, Tom, Roy, Jess, Harry, and Ken Perry, and one sister, Hazel Hyder. John Bill was a retired truck driver and a lifelong farmer. He was an active member of many organizations, including Guyan Conservation District; and W.Va. RC & D; Wayne County Solid Waste Authority, W.Va. Farm Bureau Board of Directors and 17 year President; Past Master of Vinson Lodge #66 AF&AM at Ft. Gay; 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason; Order of Eastern Star of W.Va., Wayne Chapter 156; and most importantly the Genoa Church of Christ.
He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Irna Leah Perry; daughter-in-law Mary Arthur Perry of Huntington, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Jordan R. Perry of Flatwoods, Ky., Christopher (Kayla) Edwards of Greenup, Ky., and their mother Barbie K. Blevins also of Flatwoods, and Jacob (Danielle) Perry of Grayson, Ky.; and great grandchildren Haley and Liam Perry, and Brooklynn and Bohdan Edwards.
Also surviving is one sister, Dicie Thompson; sisters-in-law, "his girls" Mary Kat Williamson and Geraldine Trogdon, along with Pearl Lycans and Sandra Perry; brothers-in-law, Hobert (Betty) Perry, Don (Barbara) Perry, Bob (Sheila) Perry, Claude (Bonnie) Perry, Lowell (Sheila) Perry and Herman (Betty) Perry; and nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ramey and Mindy of Wayne County EMS and Lexy and Felicia of Wayne Davita Dialysis Center in Wayne for their care and support.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Travis Perry officiating. Burial will follow at the John Perry Cemetery where Masonic rites will be performed. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
