JOHN JAY SIMMONS, 57, of East Lynn, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016.  Born September 25, 1959 in Miami, Fla., John graduated from Norland High School and Miami Dade Technical School with a degree in Auto, specializing in transmissions.

His father John Jasper Simmons preceded him in death along with one son, John Jay Simmons, Jr.

Survivors include his mother, Pauline Simmons of Brooksville, Fla.; one son, Joe Simmons, of East Lynn, W.Va.; one sister, Linda Jordan, also of Brooksville; and his ex-wife, friend, and mother of his children, Lila Johnson and her husband Glen.

He will also be missed by his close friends Teager and Brenda Osburn, and Tommy Osburn; and friends and family too numerous to mention.

John will finally rest at the Osburn Cemetery, Bartram Fork at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 with arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  All family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service to say "Good-bye."
