Obituary

LINDA LOU GORE, 78, of Lavalette, W.Va., formerly of Logan County, W.Va., passed away Friday, August 28, 2026, at home. She was born on December 6, 1947, in Logan County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Willard and Catherine Baldwin. Her husband Carlos Lee Gore also preceded her in death along with one sister, Anna Faye Baldwin. Linda retired from the Logan County Department of Education with over 40 years of service and was a member of Sunbeam Chapel in Logan, W.Va.

She leaves behind two beloved daughters, Misty Lusk (Greg Sowder) of Lavalette, and Peggy Stafford (Tony) of Huntington, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Briana (Dakota) Snider of Bristol, Va., Madison Lusk (Tyler Pemberton) of South Point, Oh., Brandon (Dusty) Lusk of Wayne, W.Va., Kaliyah West-Gore of Charlotte, N.C., and Jessica West-Gore of Huntington; two great grandchildren, Penelope June Snider and Hunter Smith: along with many dear step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Donna Kay Reeves of Clothier, W.Va., and Kathy (Ray) Gore of Chapmanville, W.Va.; special friend Susie Williams Bias of Logan; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Per her request, there will be no public services. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
