LORENE VIRGINIA MARSHALL, 93, of Wayne, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 8, 2017, just two weeks before her 94th birthday.  She was born September 22, 1923 in Wayne County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Wayne and Bessie Frazier Dean.  Her husband, Pearly Marshall, also preceded her in death along with all eight brothers and sisters; Mary Crabtree, Nina Etter, Sadie Dean, Arnold Dean, Drewie Dean, Willie Dean, Edmond Dean, and Inez Marshall.  Lorene was a homemaker and a member of Garrett's Creek Church of Christ. She leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews; her church family whom she cherished; and her many dear friends at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Evangelists Barney Owens and Wyn Baker officiating.  Burial will follow at the Cyrus Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
