Obituary

LUCILLE  JACKSON, 61, of Genoa, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2016.  She was born May 31, 1955 at Genoa, W.Va., a daughter of the late George and Ruby Holland. Her sisters Ethel Holland and Wilma Cox also preceded her in death.  Lucille was a homemaker and a member of the Genoa United Baptist Church.

She leaves behind her husband of 42 years, James Alvin Jackson; one daughter, Rachel Lambert (Mike Forrest) of Lavalette, W.Va.; one son, Jamie Jackson of Genoa; and grandchildren Skyler and Tyler Forrest.

Also surviving are sisters, Ruth Moore of Louisa, Ky., Pearl (Clarence) Mathis of Wayne, Helen (Richard) Stickles of Columbus, Oh., Louise Keller of Newport, Tenn., Christina (Paul) Stroud of Genoa, and Carolyn Christian, also of Genoa; brothers, Glen Roy (Jeanette) Holland, Donald Ray (Patricia) Holland, all of Ashville, N.C., Guff William (Betty) Holland of Asheboro, N.C., Robbie (Ruby) Holland, George (Ernestine) Holland, Jr., Timothy Holland, all of Genoa, and John Paul (Ginny) Jackson of Wayne; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Kitts officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sycamore Creek Memorial Cemetery, Genoa.  Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
