LUCY POOLE DYER WEST, of Wayne, formerly of Lavalette and Kenova, W.Va., passed away at Wayne Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the age of 98.  She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart.  She was a member of the Lavalette Baptist Church, and also attended Ceredo Missionary Baptist, where she lived for several years.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce Wilson; two husbands, Jasper Dyer and Perry West; two step-daughters; and two step-sons.

She leaves behind two grandsons, Daniel (Carolyn) Wilson and Chris Wilson; two great-granddaughters; eight great-great grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Louise Ratliff, and Mae Slazo; one stepson, Fred (Joyce) Dyer; special niece & nephew, Brenda and Howard McComas of East Lynn, W.Va. and niece Wanda Osburn of Westerville, Oh.; and a host of family and friends.  The family would sincerely like to thank Wayne Nursing & Rehabilitation staff for their love and care over the last three years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Eddie McComas officiating.  Burial will follow at Dock's Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Wednesday.
