MALTA PELFREY, 89, of Prichard, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Autumn Lake Healthcare, Elkins, W.Va.  She was born May 20, 1934, in Wayne County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Henderson "Danco" Dingess and Frankey Wallace Dingess Caldwell.  Also preceding her in death was her husband, Howard T. Pelfrey; infant daughter Frankey Marie Crabtree; grandson Robert Howard Pelfrey Jr.; brother Aldridge Dingess; and half-brother Pat Dingess.

Survivors include one son, Robert Howard Pelfrey, Sr. of Huntington; grandson Chase Pelfrey; three great grandchildren, Robert Howard Pelfrey III and his fiancé Madison Spence, Jasmine Marie Pelfrey, and Colt Allen Pelfrey; two great-great grandchildren Everly Spence and Kinley Pelfrey; granddaughter-in-law and devoted caregiver Rose Pelfrey; special friends Pat Lowe of Texas and Myrtle and Elgin Ward of Ceredo; along with a host of cousins and family too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2024, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Dan Wallace Cemetery, Dunlow, W.Va.  Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
