MARTHA JEAN STALEY SCOTT, 44, of East Lynn, W.Va., entered into her eternal rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, March 18, 2016.  Born January 22, 1972 in Huntington, W.Va., Martha was a homemaker and a member of the Big Lynn Freewill Baptist Church where she loved to sing and teach children about The Lord.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harmon and Lilly Watts Adkins, and her paternal granddad, Harold Staley.

Survivors include her loving husband of 23 years, Rodney Darrell Scott; her parents, Harold T. and Betty J. Adkins Staley; one brother, Thomas Harmon Staley; paternal grandmother, Lillian Chaney, all of East Lynn; one goddaughter, Abigail Gussler of Ashland, Ky.; and three dear friend sisters Vicki Gussler of Ashland, Lucille Adkins of Ft. Gay, W.Va., and Leslie Scott of Kenova, W.Va.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brothers Russell Watts and Larry Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in the Kelly Perry Cemetery, East Lynn.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
