Obituary

MARY JO "MOMMA JO" STAMPER LOVINS, 77, formerly of Prichard, WV, went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2016, at Heritage/Genesis Nursing Home, Huntington, WV.  She was born January 10, 1939, to the late Henry and Goldie Hall Stamper of Dunlow, WV.  Her loving husband, Ray Lovins also preceded her in death, along with one son-in-law, John Staley, one sister, Joyce Accord, and two brothers, Andy Stamper and Tom Stamper.  Mary Jo was a homemaker, loved to cook, watch over her children and loved to Worship the Lord by singing. She had five children and one godchild, Danny Lovins, Cindy Staley, Tammy (Tim) Knappenberger, Lisa Lovins, Greg (Kathy) Lovins, Susan Garrettson.  Her grandchildren are Danny Ray (Bracken), Tiffani, Jennifer (Mark), Chris, Oceania, Jasmine, Chasity, Emma, Jamie, Jeremy (Ashley), Jason (Jana), Ashlee (Matthew), and Tanner, and great grandchildren are Landyn, Victoria, James, Brooklyn, Aiden, Montana, Thomas, Dylan, Kellan, Hattie, Jordie, and Silas.  Also surviving are six sisters and three brothers Jewell Ferguson, Sue Williamson, June Marcum, Kaye Dickinson, Betty Crabtree, Patty James, Bernard Stamper, Jerry Stamper, and Dale Stamper.  Momma Jo was known and loved by all who knew her and we loved to hear her sing her favorite gospel songs everyday of her life.  And her favorite saying of all time "Here is your hat what is your hurry".  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home, with Pastor Randall Robertson, Locust Grove Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery in Kenova.  Friends and family may call from 6:00pm to 9:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
