MICHAEL EUGENE ACORD, 41, of Prichard, W.Va., passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at his residence in East Lynn.  Born February 27, 1978 in Huntington, W.Va., Mike attended Buffalo High School then worked for Standard Labs, Inc. as a coal sampler 18 years.

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Acord of East Lynn; two stepchildren, Hannah Thompson and T.J. Thompson, both of Wayne, W.Va.; his parents, Charles and Bonnie Acord of Prichard, W.Va.; three sisters, Nancy Napier, Tammy (Thomas) Kraemer both of Prichard, and Kathy (Ed) McKenzie of Glenburnie, Md.; two special nieces, Savanna Napier and Charity Kraemer; three nephews, Cody (Casey) Napier, Tyler McKenzie, and Zach McKenzie; many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins; a very special friend who Michael thought of as a son, Jay Mitchell; and a host of friends who will miss him terribly.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
