MICKEY JOE PAYTON, 58, of Lavalette, W.Va., passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  Born December 13, 1957 in West Hamlin, W.Va., Mickey graduated from Guyan Valley High School.  His parents, Robert and Frankie Reeves Payton preceded him in death, along with one brother, John Albert Payton. He leaves behind one son, Christopher Payton of Vancouver, Wash.; brothers Dobae Payton of Genoa, W.Va., Henry (Mary Ann) Payton of Branchland, W.Va., and half brother Harold Eugene (Obita) Nelson of Ona, W.Va.; sisters Tammy Payton of Huntington, W.Va., Roberta Harris of Nashville, Tenn., and Mulana Payton of Mississippi; and special friend, Connie Sovine of Lavalette. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
