MUSS HENRY CARTER, 71, of Ceredo, W.Va., passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 at St. Mary's Medical Center.  He was born March 7, 1949 in Wayne, W.Va. a son of the late George and Emma Carter.  Also preceding him in death were five sisters, Ida Blake, Creasie Mays, Joyce Blake, Lyda Yates, and Linda Carter; two brothers, Roy Carter and Paul Carter; and one grandson Tristan.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Phyllis Yates Carter; two daughters, Sandy (Alex) Webb of Wayne and Amy Carter of Lavalette, W.Va.; one son David (Christina) Carter of Huntington, W.Va.; and four grandsons Aaryn Webb, Zach Carter, Ryan Carter, and Trenity Carter.

Also surviving are three brothers, Homer Carter of Prichard, W.Va., Zeri Carter and Calvin Carter, both of Wayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Revs. Johnny Harris and Clayton Harmon officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt.
