NEWMAN CHANEY, 87, of East Lynn , W.Va. , went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center .  He was born January 22, 1930 at Wayne, a son of the late Leonard and Lilly Dyer Chaney.  His wife Arminda Chaney also preceded him in death along with one sister, Goldie Adkins, one son, Oshel Chaney, and one granddaughter, Amanda Clark. He leaves behind two sons, Merle Chaney of Branchland, W.Va. , and Elisha Chaney of East Lynn; three grandchildren, Lisa Stephens, Josh Chaney, and Jessica Jeffery; seven great-grandchildren, Cassie, Lilly, Jayden, Brandon, Katlyn, Sabrina, and Cassedy; and one great-great granddaughter, Alayaha.  Also surviving is two sisters, Delpha, and Hazel; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention. Private burial will be held at the Watson Cemetery .  Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is honored to serve the Chaney family.
