NILA MIKALENE CLARK SMITH, 81, of Wayne, W.Va. went to be with the Lord Friday July 20, 2018 at Hickory Creek of Athens, Ohio.  She was born March 1, 1937 at East Lynn, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lee and Nila Clark.  Her brothers Bobby Clark and Abby Clark also preceded her in death.  Nila was baptized at Laurel Creek Freewill Baptist Church and had a deep faith in her Lord.

Survivors include three sons, Bill (Crystal) Smith of Lavalette, W.Va., Jim (Cheryl) Smith of Huntington, W.Va., and Tom (Melinda) Smith of Lavalette; one daughter, Amy Smith of Wayne; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Naomi Clark of Wayne; one brother Billy Clark of Lavalette; and her lifelong companion, Donald Talbert.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Casteel officiating.  Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral on Monday.
