OTIS PARSONS, 84, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at his residence.  He was born July 14, 1932 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of Ulysses Parsons and Lillie Jefferies Parsons.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lacey, Lonnie and Freeland; two sisters, Lottie and Jewel; one granddaughter, Amber Tackett; one son-in-law, Mike Ward, and one nephew, Ricky Parsons. He was a veteran Tank Commander in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War.  Otis was also a member of the Bowen Methodist Church.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Lucille Leek Parsons; four daughters, Mary, Cindy, Betsy and Cathy; seven sons, Otie, Joey, David, Timmy, Donnie, Daniel and Gary; four brothers, Atis, Denny, Edward and Sam; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2016 with Pastor Dewey Bias officiating.  Burial will follow in Bowen Cemetery.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
