ROBIN DORRINE FORTNEY, 66, of Fort Gay, WV, formerly of Enterprise, WV, was graciously escorted home on the wings of angels to be with the Lord on Monday, November 9, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  Robin was born October 20, 1954 in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Delores Basnett Pennell and the late George Mayle.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 49 years, John Wesley Fortney, whom she married on November 19th, 1971.  In addition to her husband, Robin is survived by daughter, Stacy Fortney and husband Brent of Louisa, KY; daughter Trista Swiger and husband Jay of Grandview, IN; granddaughter Teia Swiger of Fort Gay, WV; grandson Shay Swiger and wife Adrian of Louisa, KY; granddaughter Shayna Watson and husband Blake of Lexington, KY; and grandson Tanner Swiger of Grandview, IN.  Also surviving are great-granddaughters Jocelyn and Kinsley Caudill of Fort Gay, WV; great-granddaughter Bailey Swiger of Louisa, KY; and great grandsons Raylen and Reid Watson of Lexington, KY.  She is also survived by two brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her loving step-father, Clinton Pennell.

Robin was a loving wife to her husband John, a wonderful mother to her daughters, a caring and compassionate Mamaw to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and beloved sister and Aunt. She will most certainly be missed by all whose life she had an impact on.
